Unfortunately the 755 is a small form factor PC and the PCIe card, while electrically compatible, doesn&#8217;t fit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/optiplex1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/optiplex1-991x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"optiplex1\" width=\"630\" height=\"650\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/optiplex1-991x1024.jpg 991w, https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/optiplex1-290x300.jpg 290w, https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/optiplex1.jpg 1746w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I removed the section around the PCI bay, this allowed the front of the PCIe card to stick out of the system. Unfortunately the heat sink also encroaches on the footprint of a double width PCIe card. So it had to go. The casing around the heatsink and keeps it firmly coupled to the motherboard was removed.
