However AC and frequency measurements were showing 0 and the self test failed. Still pretty happy with it for 50USD.<\/p>\n<p>First obvious problem was the following blown cap, sorry I didn&#8217;t take a pic before removing it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcap-1024x925.jpg\" alt=\"deadcap\" width=\"700\" height=\"632\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcap-1024x925.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcap-300x271.jpg 300w, https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcap.jpg 1141w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But wow it left it&#8217;s mark:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcomponents.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcomponents-1024x887.jpg\" alt=\"deadcomponents\" width=\"700\" height=\"606\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcomponents-1024x887.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/41j.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/deadcomponents-300x260.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can also see a blown 3.3V regulator next to it. The LM317 which drives this appeared to be outputting 30V rather than 18 as it should.
