I recently purchased a Leatherman Squirt ES4. However I’m unimpressed with the build quality, particularly as compared with my PS4 Squirt. The rivets show visible flaws and the file is bent! Here are some comparison photos:<\/p>\n

Here’s a close up of one of the ES4 rivets, where you can see it’s poorly moulded and has a “lip”:<\/p>\n

The finally the worst issue, the file which is actually misshapen and bent:<\/p>\n

It’s obviously not an issue for day to day use, it’s just that generally I expect better build quality from my Leathermans and was rather surprised. Particularly as I’ve read that “Even non-functional cosmetic flaws no bigger than a speck of pepper are not acceptable in any of the numerous inspections each tool must pass.”.
